At Modern Dermatology in Scottsdale, Arizona, patients come first. Maya Thosani, MD, FAAD, FACMS, and Holly Nichols, NP, take a personal approach to care, combining the latest modern medical advances with trusted and proven treatments to give the well-rounded care they expect.
The dermatology and Mohs surgery practice provides care for children, teens, and adults, treating common skin concerns like rashes, warts, and eczema. It offers both medical and surgical dermatology care.
Dr. Thosani is a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and specializes in diagnosing and treating skin cancer, using Mohs surgery for treatment when appropriate. Modern Dermatology also provides guidance on how to prevent, treat, and reverse sun damage to protect against skin cancer.
MODERN Dermatology also aims to give patients the opportunity to use various treatments available for their skin condition by keeping on top of the latest therapies available. Dr. Maya Thosani is currently participating in clinical trials.

Maya Thosani, MD, FAAD, FACMS
With over 15 years of experience in cutaneous oncology and dermatologic surgery, Maya K. Thosani, MD, brings not only her clinical expertise but her light-hearted, compassionate approach to MODERN Dermatology, which has offices in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Dr. Maya Thosani graduated high school in central New Jersey and then pursued degrees in psychology and Spanish during her pre-medical training at Columbia University. During her junior year, she studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, for a semester, enjoying the opportunities of traveling Europe while becoming fluent in a second language.
