Dr. Maya Thosani Appointments
As Dr. Maya Thosani transitions to a more surgery-focused schedule, her availability for general dermatology appointments is limited.

Same Day and Next Day Appointments
Online self-scheduling is available for appointments scheduled 2 or more days in advance.

What to Expect After Scheduling
Credit Card on File Policy
Modern Dermatology maintains a secure credit card on file policy to simplify billing, reduce missed appointments, and ensure a smooth check-in process.
After scheduling, you will receive a secure text message from our HIPAA-compliant messaging system with a link to securely add a credit card to your account.
For Your Privacy and Security:
Staff do not have access to your full credit card number
The office can only see that a card has been successfully added
Your card is securely stored through our encrypted system
Your Card Will Only Be Used:
With your permission for services, copays, deductibles, products, or balances due; or
In the event of a no-call/no-show appointment, in accordance with office policy
Appointment Confirmation
After booking, you will receive appointment confirmations and reminders via our HIPAA-compliant messaging system. Please review all messages carefully.
Patient Portal & Online Check-In
Prior to your appointment, you must complete your MY HEALTH section in the patient portal.
You will receive a link via email or you can click this link (INSERT PATIENT PORTAL LINK) to complete the MY HEALTH section.
You will also receive a text message the day before or day of your appointment to complete online check-in.
Online Check-In:
Insurance information may be skipped if already submitted
All consent forms must be reviewed and signed
Please ensure all information is accurate and up to date
Arrival Instructions:
If MY HEALTH and online check-in are fully completed: arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment
If not completed: arrive 20 minutes prior to allow time for check-in assistance
Insurance Referrals
Some insurance plans require a referral from your primary care provider before seeing a specialist.
It is your responsibility to confirm whether a referral is required and obtain it prior to your appointment.
If a required referral is not received:
You may need to reschedule your appointment; or
You may choose to proceed as a self-pay patient at standard self-pay rates
